ForkCast Terms of Use

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ForkCast. By downloading, accessing, or using ForkCast, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you obtained ForkCast through Apple’s App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Mandatory marketplace terms control where they conflict with these terms.

Eligibility and Responsible Use

You must be legally capable of entering into these terms. You agree to use ForkCast lawfully and responsibly.

You may not interfere with the app, attempt unauthorized access, abuse group features, impersonate others, scrape restaurant data, overload the service, bypass security measures, or use ForkCast in a way that violates another person’s rights.

License

Astrynn grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ForkCast on devices you own or control as permitted by applicable marketplace rules.

Groups and User Activity

You are responsible for the display name, choices, votes, links, and other activity you submit. Information shared in a group may be visible to other group participants.

Do not share a group code publicly unless you intend to allow others to join. Astrynn is not responsible for disagreements among group participants or decisions made based on group results.

Restaurant Information

Restaurant names, photos, addresses, hours, ratings, prices, availability, menus, and other details may come from third parties and can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

You should verify important details directly with the restaurant, including hours, pricing, reservations, allergens, dietary accommodations, accessibility, safety, and availability. ForkCast does not endorse or guarantee any restaurant.

Location and Safety

Location-based results are estimates and may not reflect actual travel distance, traffic, road closures, or safe routes. Do not use ForkCast in a manner that distracts you while driving or otherwise creates a safety risk.

Decision Wheel and Results

The decision wheel is an entertainment and convenience feature. Its selection does not constitute professional advice, a guarantee, or an endorsement. You remain responsible for the final decision.

Third-Party Services

ForkCast may use third-party providers for restaurant data, maps, directions, photos, group synchronization, hosting, analytics, and app distribution. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Availability and Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue ForkCast or any feature to improve, maintain, or secure the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete restaurant coverage, or compatibility with every device.

Intellectual Property

ForkCast, Astrynn branding, software, visual design, and related materials are owned by Astrynn or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Termination

You may stop using ForkCast at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or the service, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForkCast is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astrynn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including losses related to restaurant information, travel, reservations, food, group decisions, or service interruptions.

Astrynn’s total liability arising from ForkCast will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for ForkCast during the 12 months before the claim or $50, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
